Stat Of The Week
In 2018, Wallis & Futuna imported over 5,459 tonnes of food and beverages, including approximately 1,500 tonnes of beverages, spirits and vinegar. France remains its primary trading partner. As we mark World Maritime Day on 26 September, let's reflect on the vital role of maritime trade in sustaining economies and meeting global demands. More info
In 2021, Tonga reported a Gender Parity Index of 0.95 for gross earnings, marking progress towards gender equality in pay. This index measures the ratio of female to male earnings, with 1.00 indicating parity. A score of 0.95 means that, on average, women earn 95% of what men earn in Tonga. More info
In 2019, Fiji led the way with renewable energy accounting for 62% of its total electricity generation. This impressive achievement underscores Fiji's dedication to harnessing sustainable energy sources, including hydroelectric power, solar energy, and biomass. More info
