DOMINO'S SHARE SOME PIZZA LOVE Domino’s Germany are celebrating their ‘Love for Pizza’ with the launch of three new pizza offerings during the campaign. The ‘Meat Love’ pizza will satisfy meat-lovers as it's loaded up with garlic chicken, minced beef and crispy bacon. The ‘Hot Love’ brings lots of heat with chilli salami, spicy tinga chicken and jalapeños. The ‘Cheese Love’ pizza comes with extra Mozzarella and a cheesy crust with garlic oil. Domino’s has also created ‘Garlic Love’ extra-large premium pizza rolls. 2. SUBWAY'S NFL CHICKEN SUBSSubway has released two chicken sandwiches as part of their LTO Collection in the U.S. The Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Chicken sub includes chicken strips with a new buffalo sauce, Frank’s Red Hot sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and ranch dressing while the BBQ Chicken sub features chicken strips, sweet BBQ sauce, red onions, pickles, lettuce and tomatoes. Both subs are promoted for Subway’s Footlong Season in relation to its NFL TV advertisements featuring star players. 3. MCDONALD'S NEXT CELEBRITY MEALMcDonald’s has replaced its successful Travis Scott Meal with the J Balvin Meal in partnership with the Colombian reggaeton singer who is an international icon and avid McDonald’s fan during concert tours. The meal includes a Big Mac sandwich, medium fries and an Oreo McFlurry. McDonald’s is now better prepared to ensure no shortages after a temporary stock-out of some ingredients for the Travis Scott meal. This is the second time after almost 30 years that McDonald’s has introduced a celebrity's name to its menu. 4. BURGER KING'S MASTERS RANGEBurger King France have launched a Masters Burgers range which they proclaim is “even better than our best burgers”. The new burgers are made with 150g of flame grilled Charolaise French beef. The ‘Master Chevre’ is topped with a creamy herb sauce, goats cheese and marinated tomatoes on a soft brioche bread. The 'Master Cantal’ comes with two slices of Cantal, mustard sauce, caramelized and crispy onions on brioche buns. Consumers can also order King Fries topped with a goats cheese sauce and crispy pieces of bacon or onions. 5. SAMWORTH BROTHERS WITH URBAN EATUrban Eat is under new ownership with Samworth Brothers after acquiring the brand from Adelie Foods in June. The brand forms part of Samworth’s ‘Fresh Food For Now Company’, the one-stop shop for food-to-go outlets in the UK. The full range includes sandwiches and wraps, a selection of hot paninis and toasties and meat-free options. The sandwich specialists are keen for the food-to-go industry to get back on its feet and have big plans for the Urban Eat brand. 6. TACO BELL FOR BREAKFASTAs restaurants begin to reopen, Taco Bell has brought back their breakfast menu at most locations across the U.S. The chain's breakfast menu includes a Breakfast Crunchwrap, Cheesy Toasted Breakfast Burrito Potato and hash browns. Taco Bell has also been working on new ways to continue serving their customers safely with new "Go Mobile" restaurants that focus on a drive-thru only model with curbside pick-up availability. Starting in November, new menu items such as the Chicken Chipotle Melt and Quesalupa will also become available in select locations. 7. CHICAGO TOWN'S COLLABORATIONChicago Town has launched a pizza-inspired beer called ‘Show Me The Honey’ with flavours inspired by their new Sweet Honey BBQ Salami pizza. The brand partnered with Seven Brothers Brewery to create this limited time offer after research revealed that 75% of consumers who enjoy alcohol with their pizza would choose beer. The brewer will be selling ‘Show Me The Honey’ on their website for the month of October and Chicago’s Town pizza will be available in most major retailers starting October 9th, to mark International Beer and Pizza Day. 8. QUORN'S VEGAN PEPPERONI PACKSQuorn has launched a Vegan Pepperoni as part of its meat alternative Deli range. The brand announced 64% year on year growth as interest in flexitarian diets increases. Meat-free deli products had a value of £1.9M in 2018 but that figure is now about £15.5M. The Vegan Pepperoni is gluten free, soy free and available in 100g packs (£2.20). Quorn’s intention is to provide a sustainable and simplified meal ingredients while consumers spend more time at home. 9. KFC DOUBLES DOWNKFC have brought back the iconic Double Down burger across UK & Ireland restaurants this week. After coming off the menu in 2018, the signature Double Down burger is back with crispy bacon, Monterey Jack cheese and BBQ sauce stuffed between two pieces of Original Recipe chicken fillets instead of their usual burger buns. The Double Down is only available to customers through Uber Eats until mid-November.
