Is Testosterone Right for Older Women?

Scientists say some older women might benefit from testosterone therapy. 

More specifically, experts think the hormone could be used to treat postmenopausal women with hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) - low libido accompanied by distress. 

Women should undergo such therapy only with a doctor's guidance. It is important that hormone levels be monitored regularly.

Study: Hormones Not Linked to Peyronie's Curve Severity

Men with Peyronie's disease generally have a distinct curve in their penis, one that can make sexual activity difficult or impossible. 

Some penile curves are more severe than others. Could testosterone play a role? Researchers don't think so, according to a recent Journal of Sexual Medicine study. 

They assessed the testosterone levels and degree of penile curvature for 184 men with Peyronie's disease. After analyzing the data, they found no link between the two measurements.
