Reflection

Lead me this day, Lord,
to live fully in the present moment
and enjoy all that is good around me.
May all that is life-giving remind me of your life and love
that surround me now.

Greg's Message

Hello Parents and Friends of St. Anne’s
Last Saturday was a most special day for our Confirmation candidates and their families. I congratulate the candidates: Callum C, Nathan G, Eva V, Lucinda W, Aurelia L, Grace M, Jessica M, Massimo M, Finn N, Damian P, Amelie R and Nicholas W.  Thank you to our wonderful staff and parents for their support of the children. Finally, I’d like to acknowledge our principal celebrant Monsignor Tony Ireland, parish priest Fr. John, assistant parish priest, Fr. Toan and our altar servers: Greta C, Hannah T and Claire C. The work of these people ensured a beautiful, spiritual occasion.

Illness
Yes it’s that time of year when we are vulnerable to illness. In the best interests of everybody, please don’t send your child to school when they are unwell; this is particularly important if your child’s illness is contagious.

Enrolments
We will be starting to organise class structures shortly. It would be appreciated if parents could advise me if their child will not be attending St. Anne’s next year (current Foundation to Year 5 students.)

The survey period is from Monday 2nd September until Friday 20th September.

School Fees
We still have a significant amount of school fees outstanding. For those concerned your attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Sports

Ski Team
The St Anne’s ski team participated in the Interschool Skiing Competition on Monday 19th & Tuesday 20th August at Mt Buller. Congratulations to Callum C, Chiara H, Claire C, Jessica H, Tilda H and Ben H on their efforts.

Athletics Trials
Last Monday our year 3-6 students were involved in athletics trials at Hagenauer’s Reserve, Box Hill North. We were fortunate with the weather as the children participated in a variety of track and field events. The results from this day will assist us in formulating a team for the North Balwyn District Athletics Carnival on September 5th.

Badminton
Today all of our students began a five week badminton program courtesy of SportingSchools. Children are to wear their sports uniform on each Wednesday until the end of the term.

Social Justice

Last call for any baby goods to be donated to the St Kilda Mum’s.
We have had two bags of clean goods and would love to add to these.
With spring coming up, this is a good time to have a ‘spring clean’ and clean out those drawers that have clothes etc that your babies have grown out of. Donations can be left in a bag at the office. Cut off date is Friday the 30th August. Please consider….. The Social Justice Group & Mrs Bellio
