Sustainability: How Science Can Help Achieve the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals

This year's Ashtekar Frontiers of Science Lecture will link to the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals. The lecture series will be held live via Zoom Video Webinar on six consecutive Saturday mornings (11 a.m.–12:30 p.m.) from January 23 through February 27, 2021.

Penn State chemistry community grieves loss of Professor Emeritus James Anderson

The Department of Chemistry is sad to announce that Evan Pugh Professor Emeritus of Chemistry and Physics James (Jim) Bernhard Anderson passed away on January 14 at the age of eighty-five.

Ferrari and Hicks receive Dean’s Special Award for extraordinary efforts during COVID-19

The awards were presented by Verne M. Wiliman Dean Tracy Langkilde on January 19, 2021, during the college’s Climate and Diversity Awards ceremony, sponsored by the college’s Climate and Diversity Committee.
