Summer B syllabi should be emailed to sdaye@ucf.edu by 5 p.m., Monday, June 19.

Order textbooks for fall semester by Wednesday, June 21. If you do not place and order, a textbook WILL NOT be ordered. The system will not automatically order the book you used in the previous semester. If you DON'T USE A TEXTBOOK, notify Debbie Doyle so that she can indicate that in the bookstore system. The next collective bargaining session between the University of Central Florida Board of Trustees and the United Faculty of Florida will take place  from noon to 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 20 in Millican Hall 395.

No first responder is immune to shock, sadness and lingering trauma, which all have lasting impacts on physical and emotional well-being. Join in a workshop about sharing, learning and healing from 9 a.m. to noon, June 16 in room 101 of Classroom II. Dr. Larry Barton, distinguished professor of crisis management and publicity at UCF, is the speaker.

The Office of Experiential Learning has requested service-learning artifacts from the 2016-2017 academic year to assist with UCF’s submission of the Florida Campus Compact Award Application - Engaged Campus of the Year Award category.

If you have any artifacts (e.g., narratives, pictures, data, etc.) from any of your service-learning courses you have taught this year, please forward  this information to Shameika Daye by 5 p.m., Wednesday, June 21.

Learn all about UCF's appraisal process during a Human Resources training session from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21 in the UCF Human Resources - Innovative Center: Training Room. Topics include: benefits and multiple uses of appraisals, UCF procedures for USPS and A&P, how to make the process faster/easier, what and how to document and how to set SMART goals with your staff. This workshop is limited to current supervisors of USPS and A&P eligible staff.

And it can feel like you’re just along for the ride. It’s no wonder so many people feel stressed. By simplifying your life, you remove distractions so you can focus on what’s most important. Learn how to simplify your life during a UCF Human Resources workshop from 3 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21 in the UCF Human Resources - Innovative Center: Training Room. This training will discuss: how to recognize that modern life is causing you stress, why keeping things simple can help you focus on what you love, ways to prioritize what really matters to you and tips to simplify your life.

Students are encouraged to explore opportunities to build real-world experience at UCF and choose the experiences that will connect to their coursework and to their future goals. In order to support this goal, the Quality Enhancement Plan is offering the What’s Next: Integrative Learning Scholarship for the 2017-18 Academic Year. This scholarship awards up to $1,000 for the fall 2017 semester for students who demonstrate excellence in integrative learning (not to exceed the financial cost of attendance).

Knights of Distinction participate in exclusive workshops, networking opportunities, one-on-one mentoring and get individualized portfolios. Students may apply at any time before their gradating semester.
