Employee Ownership Newsletter April 2014

Dear Subscriber,

Conference Alert!

The annual Employee Ownership Conference and Awards Night is fast approaching. This year’s event  takes place on Thursday 22 May 2014 at PwC in the Sydney CBD. As the only annual event in Australia exclusively focused on employee ownership, this year’s conference is a must for experienced practitioners and those new to employee share ownership.

Register now for access to reduced EOA membership rates.

The 2014 conference offers a succinct afternoon program focusing on the changing landscape and future of employee ownership in Australia and in-depth panel discussions with Australian experts. We have condensed the conference program to accommodate our delegates’ busy schedules.

The program is designed to give delegates an increased opportunity to network at the awards ceremony on the evening of the 22 May.  If you are new to this area, work in the area every day, or are an advisor to ESS companies, this is your chance to hear from other companies about what is working, to network with your peers, hear ESS stories from the experts, and join the Q&A with ATO and ASIC regulators.

EOA calls for Sweeping reforms
Following our meeting in Canberra in March, EOA has been meeting with other peak bodies to discuss the issues relating to start-ups and ensure that reversal of the 2009 changes are at the top of the reform agenda.

The EOA experts panel has been continuing communication with Government to ensure that there is a clear and consistent message around the need for reform, and we will continue this dialogue pre and post the federal budget.

More information on our progress will be available in the next newsletter.
