Let's launch Adult Learners Week 2024!

Join us online or in person on Tuesday 3 September to launch Adult Learners Week 2024.

To be held at Taoundi Aboriginal College, Adelaide, this year's launch will run from 11am to 12.30pm ACST. 

It will again be a great showcase of inspiring learners and a celebration of the amazing programs offered across the adult and community education sector.

Speakers

As well as a special ALW2024 message from the legendary, Maggie Beer, whose foundation is providing training opportunities for chefs across Australia, the launch will include:

> A Smoking Ceremony and Welcome to Country by Kamellia Forbes and Mark Catanzariti

> A welcome to the Tauondi Aboriginal College by Chair, Brenz Saunders

> An opportunity to hear from both the new Federal Minister for Skills and Training, the Hon. Andrew Giles, and the Hon Blair Boyer, Minister for Education, Training, and Skills, South Australia

> The inspiring learning stories of ALW2024 South Australian Learning Ambassadors, Haydon Grigg, Christiana Davies, John Lindsay and Farah Naz

> The announcement of this year's ALW Scholarship winners

> A fabulous musical performance by emerging songwriter, Nukunu woman, Tilly Tjala Thomas

The launch will be MCed by ABC Adelaide's Troy Sincock.
