Barack Obama's tweet responding to the shocking events in Charlottesville has become the most liked tweet of all time. Over 4.5 million people clicked the heart icon for his quote from Nelson Mandela's book, Long Walk to Freedom: "No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion..." The former president is no slouch on the Twitter front. Of the 15 most-liked tweets of all time, Mr. Obama is responsible for 10 of them, totalling around 19 million likes.
In an uncertain world, it's heartening to know the most-liked messages on Twitter are those born of positivity and hope. Why is that the case? Perhaps it's simply this – to finish the Mandela quote: "...love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite."
