2nd Grade eNews

Dear Parents,
Please don’t forget we are out of school Friday, March 17th. The following week will be our Spring Break - no school March 20th-24th. We will see the students again on Monday, March 27th.  Enjoy this time with your families!

• Bible – We will be studying Martha from John 11:1-45. Our memory verse will be:
• John 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me, even if he dies, will live.”
• Reading – We will work on the skill, Character. Our story will be “Gloria, Who Might be my Best Friend.”

• Grammar – We will continue working with adjectives.
• Math – Review of carrying, borrowing, multiplication, word problems, three digit addition & subtraction, geometric shapes, identifying shape patterns, symmetrical figures, parallel and intersecting lines, and sides and corners, and fractions

• March 16th -Parent Teacher Conferences 3:30-5:30 – This is a drop-in conference. All three second grade teachers will be in F142 (Mrs. Yates’ classroom) for these conferences. Please remember, since this is a short drop-in conference, you might want to write down any questions or concerns you have, so we are able to talk to all who come in a time frame of 5-7 minutes.
• March 17th - NO SCHOOL
• March 20th-24th – NO SCHOOL – SPRING BREAK
• April 3rd-7th – This will be the week of TN3 testing – we will test beginning at 8:15 a.m. until lunch time at 11:00 a.m.  Please do not schedule any doctor or dentist appointments during this week if at all possible. We do not make up tests.
