PreK-4 (3-Day) eNews

“Run, run as fast as you can! You can’t catch me I’m the Gingerbread Man!”  We had such fun reading and then comparing/contrasting different versions of this classic.

What an exciting and wonderful time of year!  We love watching the wonderment and joy that the children have as we discuss Christmas.  It is fun to hear the children discuss decorating trees, baking cookies, and wrapping presents.  Our favorite part, though, is that we are learning about that first Christmas so long ago and the greatest gift ever was given, our Savior!

Please see the information below regarding our book exchange during class Christmas parties.

Next Week

  • Bible Verse: Luke 2:10-12 “The angel said, Don’t be afraid, I have great news! Today a Savior was born for you in the city of David.  This will be a sign; you will find the baby wrapped in cloth and lying in a manger.” (We will practice these verses during December).
  • Bible: The Christmas Story
  • Reading/Phonemic Awareness: We will introduce the letter “Jj” and the sound that /j/ makes (think jelly/jacket).
  • Math: #7, sequencing
  • Unit: Christmas
  • Show and Tell: Bring something that begins with the letter and sound /j/.
