Hi there,

Huawei launched a new chip last week. No big deal, right. It happens all the time.

The difference, of course, is that most other tech vendors aren’t in the firing line of Donald Trump. For Huawei, the launch is more than just a new ban-busting AI-ready chip: It’s a sign of their battle to survive by increasing self-sufficiency in the face of Trump's brinksmanship.

The big question is whether Huawei is big enough to be successful based on proprietary technology, which appears to be their only feasible modus operandi to 'live and not die' under the sword of the US onslaught.

In other news this week:

  • Pssssst...the Privacy Law update is coming
  • LinkedIn avoids social skullduggery
  • Australia's dairying plays catch-up on IoT
  • Has GDPR really improved email marketing?

We also present a white paper exploring the ways that businesses can reverse the trend toward more of their cash being stuck in aged debtor ledgers by introducing automation into the payables process.

Enjoy the read,
