We start 2013 afresh with an Austrian Tyrolean evening on the 30th of January. In February, we showcase a tasting menu for Valentine‘s evening.

New Year comes but once a year, yet we have reason to pop the champagne again:
This time it is with great pleasure that I can inform you, The AA announced this morning that The Feathered Nest Inn has been awarded its prestigious three AA Rosettes.
The AA Rosette scheme is long established and successfully recognizes cooking at different levels nationwide. Of all the restaurants across the UK, approximately 10% are of a standard, which is worthy of one Rosette and above.
AA Rosettes are awarded solely by AA Hotel and Restaurant Inspectors with no influence from hotels, restaurants or other guides.
Few restaurants, let alone pubs, achieve three rosettes. This award elevates an establishment into the big league.
In the words of the AA, Three rosettes highlight:
“Outstanding restaurants that achieve standards that demand recognition well beyond their local area. The cooking is underpinned by the selection and sympathetic treatment of the highest quality ingredients. Timing, seasoning and the judgment of flavour combinations will consistently be excellent. These virtues tend to be supported by other elements, such as intuitive service and a well-chosen wine list.”
We are humbled, as it truly is a privilege to be recognized along such eminent establishments as “Dinner”, by Heston Blumenthal and “Le Gavroche”, by Michel Roux jr.
Joining the restaurant elite is not an easy task and I wish to thank all the staff for their dedication and very long hours of work for having made this possible.
Friends, at times like this, we have to sit back and realise all we have achieved over the last 2 years and 7 months, and this would not have been possible without your continuous support.
