We’ve enjoyed our week about frogs!  Thank you for helping with the frog reports for show and tell.  We always learn so much more when we share.

• Unit: Butterflies
• Show and tell: Bring something that changes.  Hmmm.  This will take some thinking.  Don’t bring a butterfly picture, though.  Be prepared to tell how and why it changes.
• Bible: Stories about Elisha
• Bible verse: The Lord’s Prayer.  Matt. 6:13  “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.  Amen."
• Reading: We will start a new phonics rule about “magic E”.  This will be words that end in silent e, which makes the previous vowel long.  We will continue adding new words to our reading vocabulary. 
• Math: Telling time to the hour, half hour and 15 minutes after the hour. Practice coins - names and values.  Count by 5’s and 10’s.  Addition facts to 7 as well.

• March 16-19 - Student-led conferences after school
• March 20 - No school
• March 23-27 - No school Spring Break
• April 3 - Author’s Day
• April 6 - Teacher Compassion Fund Giving Day - Bring a $1 donation and wear spirit dress
• April 9 - Easter Chapel, Easter parties at 2:30. 
• April 10 - Good Friday - No School
• April 13-17 - Standardized testing week.  IOWA test.  No make-up tests given.
