Thanksgiving is such a great time to spend with friends and family and remember all of the many blessings the Lord has given. When we return from Thanksgiving we will be gearing up for Christmas, beginning with all things gingerbread!

• Unit Study: Gingerbread
• Show and Tell: Decorate a gingerbread person (use paper provided by teacher in Friday folder)
• Bible: Joshua
• Bible Verse: “Be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourself.” - James 1:22
• Reading: Letters Yy and Vv, continue readers
• Sight Words: I, see, a, on, and, has, the, for, no, is, of, his, go, in, put, her, he, she, to, help, can, not, too, stop, are out, they, saw, look, them
• Math: Review of previously learned concepts, adding zero, addition fact families for 2 & 3, counting to 100 by 10s, sequencing (first, next, last), and 80s number family

• November 21st - 25th - Thanksgiving Break
• November 30th - Place December lunch orders by 6:00 p.m.
• December 1st - All-School Christmas Chapel at main campus. Students should wear their Christmas best or chapel attire. We will ride the bus to Springdale and back, resuming a normal school day upon return to PH.
• December 9th - PJ Day. No onesies!
• December 15th - International Christmas Chapel
• December 16th - Christmas Party at 12:15pm, early dismissal at 1:00pm. No Extended Care.

• Students should wear their navy Chapel polo and khaki bottoms EVERY Thursday! Jeans are not allowed on Chapel days.
• If your child cannot tie shoes, work with them on this skill. It would also be helpful to work on putting on and zipping up jackets independently.
• Be sure your child has a water bottle and a snack every day. Snacks can be sent in for the whole week on Monday or sent daily.
• Make sure a season-appropriate change of clothes is in your child's backpack.

• Pray daily for your child and our class!
• Ask your child to tell you about what s/he is learning.
• Read to your child every night.
