CHAMPIONSHIP PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION Article IndexGeneral Drive Entry Upgrades Approved! We are pleased to announce that our proposal for enhancements to the General Drive resident-only entry has been approved by the PGA POA Architectural Review Committee (ARC). This approval, granted "as submitted," is a significant achievement as the ARC often requests changes or additional information prior to approvals. This milestone marks the beginning of a project that will elevate the appearance and functionality of this important entry point for half or more of our Eagleton residents. ![]() As part of this project, we will no longer refer to this area as the 'back gate'. Moving forward, we will upgrade its status and refer to it as the 'General Drive Entry'. The enhancements include upgrading the three walls and two camera towers with a stone veneer which matches that on the Ryder Cup Boulevard entry walls, along with the addition of carriage lights on two of the gate pillars. A new flagpole and American flag will be installed on the center island, also mirroring the Ryder Cup entry. Additionally, we will add back-lighted 'Eagleton' lettering to the large left-side wall as you approach the gates. Contractors are now in the process of obtaining the required permits from the City of Palm Beach Gardens and ordering materials. We anticipate construction to begin in early September and to be completed before our seasonal residents return in early to mid-October. The goal of this project is to ensure that residents who primarily use the General Drive Entry feel just as welcome as those residents and guests who enter via Ryder Cup Boulevard. By improving the existing signage and landscaping towards the end of the project, we aim to eliminate any sense of this entrance being a secondary or service entry. We appreciate the understanding and patience of our residents as we work to complete this project. We do not anticipate any full closure of the General Drive entry during construction, but if that does become necessary, we will communicate that information to our homeowners as early as possible.
