'LOVE NSW FROM HOME' COMMERCIAL LAUNCHES
TO INSPIRE FUTURE TRAVELLERS

Tonight Destination NSW will kick off the next phase of the Now’s The Time To Love NSW tourism recovery campaign, 'Love NSW From Home', with a program of activity including a new TV commercial and social media videos that showcase the diversity and beauty of the state.

The state’s breathtaking landscapes and visitor experiences play a starring role in the commercial which invites people to dream about the wide open space, fun and adventures they'll be able to enjoy when travel restrictions are lifted.

Produced in-house by Destination NSW, the commercial will debut during Tourism Australia's special edition of The Project, ‘The Love Australia Project’, which airs tonight on Channel 10 at 7.30pm. Enjoy a teaser of the ‘Now’s The Time To Love NSW From Home’ commercial now.

In addition to the TV buy on Network Ten, this phase of Now's The Time To Love NSW will be supported by a comprehensive social media program.

The commercial and videos will link to a refreshed Now’s The Time To Love NSW campaign page on VisitNSW.com that features the latest virtual NSW experiences that travellers can enjoy from home right now.

This includes a new #LoveNSW virtual experience map – an interactive tool for people to explore NSW online by field of interest: food and wine, nature and adventure, wellness and spas, and art and culture.

Moving forward, the Now’s The Time To Love NSW campaign page, including the #LoveNSW map, will be regularly updated with suitable virtual products, experiences and attractions as they are provided to getconnected@dnsw.com.au, and will evolve to include more destinations and businesses as travel restrictions are relaxed.

Although short breaks and regional travel are not yet permitted in NSW, Destination NSW is committed to ensuring the state is front of mind for domestic visitors who are itching to get out and explore when it is safe to do so.

BRINGING NSW TO YOU

Sydney and regional NSW operators are continuing to make the most of people’s strong desire for positive content by feeding those at home with an abundance of new digital experiences. From virtual cultural tours to virtual tasting parties, NSW businesses are helping keep our state at the forefront of minds. Below are some of the many new initiatives waiting to be explored:

Tweed Regional Museum: Discover history from home with a virtual tour of the Tweed Regional Museum, a digital view of its current exhibitions through a sequence of still images, text and narration. The virtual tour gives users a taste of the rich displays available to enjoy when the Museum opens again. The Museum tour is part of Tweed Shire Council's ‘Together Tweed’ campaign and is designed to share the Tweed’s fascinating history during the COVID-19 shutdown.

Swinging Bridge Orange: Famous for its cool-climate wines, Swinging Bridge in Orange has introduced virtual tasting parties – an opportunity to gather wine-loving friends and talk with Owner and Winemaker, Tom Ward. Tasting packs can now be purchased online and include 3x bottles of wine selected by you, 45min tasting experience with Tom Ward via Zoom, tasting notes on each wine and 1x complementary tasting experience to be used at the Cellar Door when it reopens. Enter code TASTENOW at checkout for free shipping.

Sydney Opera House 360: Tour the Sydney Opera House in a 360° experience. This online initiative captures one of the world’s busiest performing arts centres between the acts — waking up, in rehearsal and at rest — featuring the outstanding young Australian soprano Nicole Car, cellist and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s Director of Artistic Planning, Benjamin Schwartz and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra itself under the baton of David Robertson, Chief Conductor and Artistic Director.

Destination NSW features innovative businesses and attractions like these in each edition of Insights with the aim of inspiring other tourism operators to develop new and different ways to promote their products and experiences to audiences worldwide.

If your business has a virtual tour or online experience you’d like to share with the thousands of Insights readers please email product@dnsw.com.au.

Alternatively, if you know of other experiences not promoted here, please join the movement and share them on social media using the hashtag #LoveNSW.
