We are following the government guidelines for COVID-19 Alert Level 3, which means we're resuming construction work on this project, with additional health and safety measures in place. We’ll be adhering to safe work practices to limit exposure to COVID-19, including promoting physical distancing wherever possible. These additional measures are to keep our contractors, staff and communities safe and healthy. Where are we up to?We have been working closely with contractors during the lockdown period to look at what will be required when we move to alert level three. As a result, we’re well-placed to resume work on our construction sites as soon as we can. We'll complete the final section of the Heathcote Valley pipeline. This will involve installing a water supply bypass to allow rock breaking for the final section of this pipeline at the back of the tunnel control room. You'll see our contractors at work on Port Hills Road, installing a chamber at the pipe diameter change and renewing a section of the Port Hills Road water supply line, between Martindales and Mauger Drive. We're also planning to install a control valve chamber at the corner of Ferry Rd and Alport Place. Thanks for your patience while we complete these important works. If you have any concerns about our work sites, you can ring Fulton Hogan on 027 604 9335 or 027 616 3929, or contact Council on 0800 800 169 to report any issues.
