Highlight: Young Scholars Conference for STEM & Brain Science at Brown

Brown University is hosting its first Young Scholars Conference on September 25 & 26, aimed at providing guidance and mentoring for STEM women scholars who are preparing to enter the workforce. This conference focuses on scholars whose work intersects with brain science. Participants will have an opportunity to add to their professional STEM network and strengthen their presentation and interview skills; additionally, the YSC committee expects that you will present a poster of your research. Connie Cepko (Harvard) will deliver the keynote address and Brown faculty members from multiple disciplines will participate.

YSC is a collaborative effort hosted by Brown’s Office of Institutional Diversity, Brown Institute for Brain Science (BIBS), Graduate Women in Science and Engineering (GWiSE)*, and Brown’s Provost Office.

The application deadline for participants has been extended to August 31, 2015. Space is limited, so please fill out the application today. You may also visit the YSC's website for the most up-to-date schedule information, or contact Dean Liza Cariaga-Lo with questions.
