We’ve all been there. Those days when you get to the office with a long ‘to do’ list only to find the day zooms past and you’ve only achieved a fraction of what you wanted to.
All is not lost according to a recent article in the Harvard Business Review. The trick is to practise mindfulness and to train your brain to focus better.
Mindful working means applying focus and awareness to everything you do from the moment you enter the office. Focus on the task at hand and don’t be sidetracked by low priority emails or social media. Part of being focused is recognising those pesky distractions and not allowing them to seduce you from your work priorities.
