CPC Older Adult Centers Shine at City’s
“Talent is Timeless” Competition

Five groups from CPC's older adult centers (OAC) across Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn have advanced to the next round of NYC Aging's Talent is Timeless competition. Our performers include The Rising Star Choir and Xinjiang Dance Group from Brooklyn OAC, The Nan Shan Musical Ensemble from Nan Shan OAC, Phoenix Dance Group from Chinatown OAC, and The Open Door Dance Troupe from Open Door OAC. These performers will now continue onto the citywide finals in September, where they will face off against dozens of other older New Yorkers from the five boroughs.

Talent is Timeless is a program of New York City’s Department for the Aging that showcases the spirit, resilience, and limitless potential of older adults, offering them a platform to demonstrate their abilities, while also challenging ageist stereotypes.
