Hi everyone!

Things are going well here and I'm making (slow but consistent) progress on the Offscreen rebranding

Just a reminder that if you're running an event related to tech/design/creativity and have more than 50 attendees, please reach out to me (just reply) to get some free give-away copies of Offscreen. (You only have to chip in a little to cover shipping costs.)

As part of my fundraiser's stretch goal, I'm also still looking for more good causes that help underrepresented and underprivileged folks get into tech. In particular, I'd like to find a few more suitable projects in sourthern and eastern Europe.

Have a great week!

Kai

This Weekʼs Line-Up

Clock and thermometer in one
01

Combining two handy features elegantly: "A glowing wall mounted clock that tells time and the temperature in a rotational color changing gradient. It uses an Arduino board to access weather data, that changes the color of the face of the clock depending on the outside temperature."

Build a custom interface to automate tasks
02

Quadro is an intriguing new app that allows you to build custom interfaces on your mobile devices that trigger certain actions and automations on your desktop.

A fidgety desk toy
03

We can (should?) question the usefulness of this product – just like any other 'desk toy', really – but you have to admit that it's a pretty smart product and marketing idea that seems to have hit a soft spot; and one that's raking in the moneys on Kickstarter right now.

Take control of your subscriptions
04

Truebill keeps track of any regular payments you make and provides a simple interface to manage and – if necessary – to cancel them. Another contender for this type of service is Cardlife.

Aussie backpack range
05

Surprised to stumble across this Australian fashion brand that makes a huge range of great-looking backpacks (love these colours!). Unfortunately, there isn't a lot of information about the interior and they also seem to ship to Australia only at the moment. 🇦🇺

WYSIWYG markdown editor
06

Are you using Markdown? StackEdit is a handy app that lets you write markdown on one side of your browser while displaying the output on the other. There are lots of other features, e.g. it can be used offline too.

Sometimes people say, 'One thing you have to offer in your work is yourself.' I disagree. I think it’s the only thing.
