No School Monday, January 20 in honor of MLK Day! Enjoy a restful, 3-day weekend!

• Bible: We will be learning about the Holy Spirit.
• Memory Verse: 1 Corinthians 3:16, “Don’t you know that you are God’s sanctuary and that the Spirit of God lives in you?”
• Spelling: Suffix -ize (to make): organize, polarize, populize, standardize, socialize, legalize… Our class likes to socialize at lunch. 
• Reading: Continuing our study on plot with the novel The City of Ember.
• Language: Finish and review Chapter 7, test Friday, January 24.
• Math: Introducing Roman Numerals and Estimation
• Science: Finish our study of Forces and Machines- test Friday, January 24.
• Social Studies: Midwest Region quiz on Friday, January 24.

• January 20 - Martin Luther King Jr. Day - No School
• February 3 - Teacher Compassion Fund Giving Day.  Students may bring a $1 or more donation and wear spirit dress.
• February 10 - State Float is due!
• February 13 - Patriotic Program at 8:30 am in the Worship Center
• February 14 - Valentine’s Parties at 2:30 in the classroom

• Chick-fil- A biscuits are available Tuesday and Friday for $3
• Please make sure your child has a labeled, NAVY jacket/coat for the classroom.
• We will be going outside if possible, please make sure your child is dressed warm with jacket and warm accessories if wanted.
