EAGLETON BACK GATE PROBLEMS

Last week we had some problems with one of the entry-side swing gates on General Drive. The problem occurred on Sunday evening and Security closed off the gate and put signs out on General Drive. They did not put signs on Avenue of the Masters as they normally do. The Director of Security was made aware and he will insure that on future occasions, signage is placed on Avenue of the Masters, prior to the intersection with General Drive.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

ANNUAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

A quick reminder that the Annual Meeting of your Championship POA Board of Directors will be held on Wednesday, March 29,2023, starting at 2:00 PM.

The meeting will be held at the offices of the PGA Property Owners Association located at 7100 Fairway Drive, suite 29. We look forward to seeing you there.

SAFETY AND SECURITY

Our Palm Beach Gardens Police and our own St. Moritz Security are very proactive with frequent patrols and high vigilance throughout all of the communities of PGA National - but they need your assistance in a few key areas:

  • Always lock your car;
  • Take your keys or key-fob into the house;
  • Close your garage door and lock the passage door between your garage and house;
  • Don't leave valuables in sight inside your car;
  • Set the alarm on both your car and house;
  • Remember.. "If you see something, say something!"

FISHING IN PGA NATIONAL

A quick reminder that in order to fish anywhere in PGA National you must have a current PGA National Fishing Permit purchased from the PGA POA office at 7100 Fairway Drive, Suite 29. The Permit must be conspicuously displayed in the brightly colored holder provided by the POA. If you are between 16 and 65 years of age you must also have a Florida Fishing License.

You may only fish in designated locations that are shown on a map that is given to you when you obtain the Permit. You are not permitted to fish from any private property such as behind residents’ homes.

Eagleton residents enjoy a unique privilege of being able to fish in a designated location on the lake along the north (pergola) side of General Drive. This area is restricted to Eagleton residents only.

SIDEWALKS/BICYCLES/MOTORIZED VEHICLES

We continue to be concerned about safety on both the roadways and sidewalks within PGA National. We do not want to see anyone getting injured.

Please note that sidewalks are considered a “shared surface” and are for the use of both pedestrians and human powered bicyclists. However, per PGA rules, no motorized equipment such as scooters, electric bikes or golf carts are permitted on any sidewalks. The only exceptions to this are motorized handicapped equipment (i.e., wheelchairs) and maintenance personnel with their carts while in the course of doing their duties.

So please, if you are walking, walk on the sidewalks. If you are human power bicycling on the sidewalks, do so cautiously and make your approach known to pedestrians. If you are riding a scooter or electric bike, you need to do so very carefully on the roadways. Golf carts are only permitted on the roadways if they are “street legal.” Street legal golf carts need to have a Florida Department of Motor Vehicles license plate issued to the owner and affixed to the vehicle. Golf carts are never allowed on the sidewalks of PGA National and only on any PGA National roadway if they are a licensed motor vehicle.

Help keep PGA National – yourself, fellow homeowners, and guests – safe as you enjoy your time here in Sunny Florida.
