Dexom G6 Early Access Program

The Children’s Diabetes Centre at Perth Children’s Hospital is excited to announce that we have successfully acquired limited supplies of the Dexcom G6 continuous glucose monitoring system as part of an Early Access program.

The Dexcom G6 is a CGM system that requires no calibrations – meaning finger pricks are not required except in special circumstances.

Early access to the G6 is available for newly diagnosed patients at the hospital and for children who fit the criteria.

Your child will be eligible for this early access program if they are:

  • 10 years or younger (in line with “Category A” of the NDSS subsidy eligibility)
  • Currently using the Dexcom G5 CGM system
  • Not using a Tandem t:slim pump (these children already have subsidised access to Dexcom G6 through the NDSS)
