It will be made available to all computers on 10 September with a deadline of 24 September. A notification will pop up on your screen once the upgrade is available in the Software Center for you to install. Staff are advised to initialise the upgrade outside work hours as the installation may take up to 2 hours, during which time you will not be able to use your computer. If the upgrade is not installed within the deadline, your computer will automatically upgrade and may restart several times during installation. OneMassey intranet is getting a fresh, new look soonA fresh, new look for OneMassey, the University staff intranet, will be unveiled soon. OneMassey will sport a cleaner, modernised design with a tiered menu, making it easier for staff to find the same work-related information on the current site. Staff accessing OneMassey will see a banner to inform them of the upcoming change. Existing team, project, committee, and community sites will also be redesigned and moved to the new-look intranet in the near future. Staff may continue to access sites from the current links. Staff with favourites saved under My Links are advised to take a record of them to resave in the new-look intranet. What to do before disposing your Massey iPadStaff using a University-issued iPad are advised to remove their personal information and back up their data before requesting for disposal once it has reached end-of-life. Apple has some easy-to-follow do-it-yourself steps on how to unlink your AppleID from the iPad and other MacOS devices, unpair devices from it, back up data, and sign out of iCloud, iTunes, and the App Store. Once the iPad is collected for disposal, any data stored in it is securely and permanently erased, but staff may also contact the Service Desk to get their iPad remotely wiped before disposal. Online Archive coming soon to Outlook emailOnline Archive will soon be available to all Massey Outlook email, allowing users to free up space on their inbox and access archived messages from any device. This will appear as a new mailbox or folder called ‘Online Archive’ or ‘Personal Archive’, depending on your email client (i.e. Outlook for Mac or Windows, Outlook Web Access or OWA). Staff may manually move email into the online archive through drag and drop or set up archive policies to automatically move messages. Help review the Data Management PolicyThe Data Management Policy is due for review to align with the Massey strategy. Consultation has occurred, with feedback being implemented in the current draft. These updates may be installed at your own convenience before they are automatically applied to your computer. How to install Office apps on a mobile device Search and download your commonly used Office apps (e.g. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) from your device's app store.
