Have
you ever wondered just how secure your network is? Hopefully
you've installed your firewall, which out of the box comes
configured in a secure manner, but since then what access
have you opened to services, and what new security issues
have arisen? NetThreat's new vulnerability scanning service
provides you with peace of mind, or, the information you need
to resolve any security 'holes' that may exist into your network
from the outside world.
Provided through one of the world's leading PCI PEN testing
organisations, our new xStorm service runs from servers
hosted at RandomStorm data centres. Customers simply schedule
scans via a simple to use web interface and xStorm produces
an automated security assessement report. This scan can
then be scheduled to run as regularly as you desire over
the next 12 months, or run every time an update or upgrade
is made to your systems.
"We have for some time been searching
for a solution to network security testing. It has been
critical to find an independent, cost-effective solution
to recommend to our customers and partners....This partnership
with RandomStorm, one of the leading UK Perimeter Vulnerability
Scanners enables us to provide the perfect solution, with
what we feel is a suitable balance between a decent level
of service and it's cost." Jon Rayment

The
SonicWALL WAN Acceleration Appliance (WXA) Series reduces application
latency and conserves bandwidth, significantly enhancing WAN application
performance and user experience for small- to medium-sized organizations
with remote and branch offices. After initial data transfer,
the WXA Series dramatically reduces all subsequent traffic by
transmitting only new or changed data across the network. The
WXA de-duplicates data traversing the WAN, thus reducing application
latency and conserving bandwidth. Other acceleration features
include data caching, metadata caching and data-in-flight compression. |
|
| WXA solutions are hardware add-ons to SonicWALL
E-Class Network Security Appliance (NSA) and NSA appliances that
are deployed as Next-Generation Firewalls. This solution streamlines
the placement, deployment, configuration, routing, management and
integration of WXA with other components, such as VPNs. When deployed
in conjunction with SonicWALL Application Intelligence and Control
Service, the WXA offers the unique combined benefit of both
prioritising application traffic (using QoS or bandwidth management)
and minimising traffic between sites, resulting in optimal network
performance. |

The
first half of 2011 was an unsettling time for network administrators
and business owners alike, with a series of data protection /
identity fraud issues hitting the headlines. The most
public of these being sucessfull attempts by hackers to gain authentication
information from the Sony Playstation network. Many of us I'm
sure breathed a sigh of relief that we are not involved in running
a multi-national, multi-billion dollar organisation likely to
be the target of a specific attack against our networks, however,
as recommendations for users to change their passwords began to
arise, the knockon threat against our own business's security
became clear.
The security of the vast majority of SMB networks
in the UK is based upon an 8 character combination of letters
and, if you're lucky, numbers. Generally these are chosen by our
users, so they are easily memorable to them, and changed as irregularly
and as little as possible, to avoid the nightmare of dealing with
forgotten passwords! Since these recent headline security breeches,
how many of us are sure that none of our staff or customers are
using the same login details to gain access to our networks...?
And if they have been changed, how many have simply had new numbers
pinned onto the end?
KnowWho solves the issue of identity fraud
/ data loss for your business, by simply removing your reliance
on this memorised password and instead replacing it with a random
code, used only once and then replaced, to ensure that
login is unique, and can never be used again.
Contact us now for more information about this technology,
We can easily set up a free trial to demonstrate how simple the
solution is, so that next time a breech hits the news, we can
be sure access to our network remains unaffected. |
