PreK4 eNews

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!   We are excited to start this semester and get back into our routine.  This week we will be reviewing the letters we learned last semester and continuing on.  Letter I is another tricky vowel.  We will learn the short sound and then focus on hearing it in the middle of words.

For the Week of January 3rd

  • Bible Verse:  “Jesus grew up and became strong, filled with wisdom and God’s grace.”  Luke 2:40
  • Bible Story:  Jesus’ Boyhood
  • Phonics/Reading:  Letter and short sound of Ii as in igloo
  • Math:  #10
  • Unit: Snow
  • Show and Tell:  Bring something with the middle short sound of i, such as stick, pig, or fish.

Inclement Weather Policy

  • The best place to find out about school closings will always be the school website or by following Shiloh on Twitter (@ShilohChristian)
  • If it isn’t safe to drive, keep your children home and send a note with them the following day back for an excused absence.
  • Late Starts (9:30 or 10:00) are a possibility.

Looking Ahead

  • January 3rd - First day of 2nd Semester
  • January 15th - No School—Martin Luther King Day
