What a beautiful fall we have had so far! Please be sure you send a labeled coat with your child each day for recess. Students may wear any navy sweater, sweatshirt, or jacket in the classroom.

Next Week

Bible - We will continue a study of David. This week our story will come from I Chronicles 15 and 16.
Verse - Psalm 105:1 “Give thanks to Yahweh, call on His name. Proclaim His deeds among the people.”
Reading - We will have a review unit in reading this week. Our focus will be on Main Idea and Supporting Details.
Spelling - This is a review unit. We will have a review of 15 words:

Grammar - Review of verbs: present, past, future, and plural verbs
Math - Continue to Borrow/Rename for subtraction; check subtraction of 2 digit numbers by addition; Chapter 6 test over borrowing/renaming; begin tally marks and graphs

Blue/Gold Basketball Game & Pancake Supper

It’s almost time for the Blue/Gold Basketball Game & Pancake Supper! Join us on November 7 for this annual fundraiser for the Shiloh Band & Basketball team. The Pancake supper is from 5 pm – 7 pm in the cafeteria, followed by the Blue/Gold Game in the SEC gym from 6 pm – 8 pm. You can purchase tickets for $5 from any band or basketball team member, or get your ticket that night. The BOOK FAIR will also be open in the library so you can shop with your students!

November 5-9 - Book Fair: This is a great time to purchase Christmas gifts!
November 6 - Pancake Supper & Blue/Gold Basketball Game
November 19 - Class Wars: Second graders may dress like a
tacky tourist, so start thinking! The grade level with the highest percentage of participation wins bubble gum for Tuesday and may wear Spirit Dress for Monday, November 26th!
November 21-23 - Thanksgiving Break - No School
