COMMUNITY SAFETY
Guest Article by Keith Echols,
Director of Security, Allied Universal Security Service
In the past few months, I’ve noticed an increase of recreational vehicles/equipment utilizing the pedestrian sidewalks throughout PGA National. For those who may be unaware, PGA National has a rule in place to ensure the safety of all those that utilize the sidewalks properly. Specifically, section 6.14 of the rules prohibits golf carts, mopeds, go-peds, go karts, scooters
and other motorized equipment on pedestrian/bike paths, sidewalks, parks, parking areas or grass and swale areas except in the course of maintenance duties, or as to golf carts, for the purpose of crossing such paths or areas in a direct route along a golf cart path where the golf cart path intersects with the path or area.
Your safety is our concern. I just wanted to take a moment of your time to make you aware of this rule, so that we can all share in ensuring the safety of everyone in PGA National.
Also, please keep your garage door closed when not in use and set your alarm whenever you leave your home. Secure your vehicle and never leave valuables in plain sight. Together we can make a difference.
Never hesitate to call PGA National security at (561) 627-1600. Report all suspicious people and activities because the smallest piece of information may be the biggest part of the solution.
EAGLETON GATEHOUSE RENOVATIONS
The renovations to our Eagleton Gatehouse are now complete!
This has been a long and in many ways a painful process, but your Board (and our guards who have suffered through many inconveniences) is thrilled to see it finally completed.
We appreciate your patience and the patience of your guests and contractors during this construction period.
SIDEWALK REPAIRS
Repairs to several sections of sidewalk on both Championship Drive and General Drive will begin on Monday, May 2nd and are expected to continue for two weeks (weather dependent).
Portions of the sidewalk will be blocked off as the repairs are being made. Please take extra care as you walk through Eagleton and stay out of the roadway whenever possible. When walking after dark we recommend that you carry a flashlight and wear light colored and/or reflective material clothing.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Property Manager’s Office at (561) 625-8588.
PRIVACY AND SAFETY
The Championship POA's contract, as well as the overall PGA National POA's contract with Allied Universal Security Services is set to expire on June 30, 2022.
Both Boards are currently reviewing proposals from Allied Universal as well as other providers to ensure that we receive the highest protective services at the most competitive price.
As we move forward in this area we will keep our homeowners informed.
WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP!
To keep vehicles from backing up from our gatehouse onto Ryder Cup Boulevard, our gate officers must process visitors, vendors, and contractors through the gate as swiftly as possible.
When residents have put those guests on their Guest List or called them into the Automated System they can be processed into the community much more quickly. But when a guest is not on either of these systems, the gate officer must make a phone call to the homeowner to get their guest access approval. You can imagine how much time this adds to the access
verification process.
Unfortunately, numerous calls must be made each day. SO PLEASE - as soon as you know a guest (visitor, vendor or contractor) is coming, put them on your guest list at gateaccess.net or call them into the Automated Gate Access System at (561) 694-2783. You will be helping your friends, your neighbors, our gate officers ... and yourself. But very importantly, you'll be helping to keep traffic flowing safely on Ryder Cup Boulevard. WE
REALLY NEED YOUR HELP to keep PGA National safe!
