    Heat map enhancement

  • blue’Log X-Series: Expanded compatibility for inverters

  • Consolidation of company sites:

VCOM: Innovation by Experience

New layout "darkify"

In the February release we are launching the new darkify layout. The dark colors are ideal when using VCOM on large monitors in control rooms. You can select the new layout at the bottom right of the footer in VCOM.

The layouts redmond, lightness, hotsneaks and default will be discontinued in the March release (March 15, 2016).

Inverter heat map enhancement

We were delighted to receive such positive feedback about the new heat map! In response to requests from many users, we have introduced a helpful feature: The colors for time intervals in which no data values are available (n/a) are different from those colors for time intervals in which the inverters are at 0 kW/kWp.

This means, for example, that communications outages will now be identified much faster. Values that are not available are displayed in dark red so that they can easily be distinguished from data sets having an inverter output of 0 kW/kWp.

Consolidation of company sites:
Hardware development and production in Augsburg

Faster realization of innovative software solutions

Starting in July 2016, meteocontrol will be moving the development and production of its hardware products from Moers to Augsburg, Germany. To date web portals have been developed at company headquarters in Augsburg – in the future all business units will be consolidated at this location. The goal is to fully leverage the synergies that result from bundling hardware and software development at one site. Lean processes and direct channels of communication will enable meteocontrol to respond even faster to dynamic market demands. What's more, this move also demonstrates meteocontrol's commitment to Germany as its base of operations. In the near future all of our devices will be manufactured in Augsburg.
