After the turmoil earlier in June due to the floods, it was a perfect yet chilly winter’s morning that greeted those who took on the B&E Launceston 10 on Sunday, June 12.
This year's event attracted around 1,500 elite athletes, runners, joggers and walkers across the three events, which included a 2km Kids Fun Run, the feature 10k race – the B&E Launceston 10 and the 5km event.
Olympian Liam Adams, was first over the line with a time of 29:10, followed closely by Jack Rayner and last year’s winner Duer Yoa.
Makda Harun Haji led the women home in 32:51 with Victoria Mitchell and Virginia Moloney close on her heels.
Dylan Evans (29:53) and Kate Pedley (34:44) were the first Tasmanian's across the line.
