2016 B&E Tasmanian Running Festival

Race wrap up

After the turmoil earlier in June due to the floods, it was a perfect yet chilly winter’s morning that greeted those who took on the B&E Launceston 10 on Sunday, June 12.

This year's event attracted around 1,500 elite athletes, runners, joggers and walkers across the three events, which included a 2km Kids Fun Run, the feature 10k race – the B&E Launceston 10 and the 5km event.

Olympian Liam Adams, was first over the line with a time of 29:10, followed closely by Jack Rayner and last year’s winner Duer Yoa.
Makda Harun Haji led the women home in 32:51 with Victoria Mitchell and Virginia Moloney close on her heels.

Dylan Evans (29:53) and Kate Pedley (34:44) were the first Tasmanian's across the line.

For full race results, visit the website.

Congratulations to everyone who participated and helped to make it such a successful event.

Looking for your next challenge? Mark the B&E Burnie 10 in your calendar! This year’s event will be held on Sunday, October 23—online entries open Saturday, July 2.

Give Me 5 for Kids

We are a proud supporter of this year’s Give Me 5 for Kids Telethon which will be hosted by Southern Cross TV on Tuesday, July 5.

Give Me 5 for Kids is a national, annual campaign which raises funds for the local children’s ward to buy medical equipment that helps seriously ill children.

Last year, Give Me 5 for Kids raised over $500,000 for the children’s wards in Tasmania.

To donate, simply watch the telethon on July 5, visit the website or pop into one of our branches.
