Single Dose Radiation Dramatically Reduces Breast Cancer Treatment Time

Women with breast cancer can have their radiation therapy time reduced from six weeks of daily treatments to just one single treatment immediately following a lumpectomy. "This is a huge game-changer for breast cancer treatment," said James Edney, MD, surgical oncologist at The Nebraska Medical Center. Breast Reconstructive Surgery Done Naturally

Plastic surgeon Frederick Durden Jr., MD, uses a breast reconstruction technique that uses a woman’s own tissue to reconstruct the breasts.
