If you have thoughts or problems weighing you down, what would you do?

Some people may do nothing because they're scared others might think less of them.  

Cheri Yavu-Kama Harathunian, director and chaplain at the Indigenous Wellbeing Centre in Bundaberg, says find someone you trust to yarn to or ask for help.

Helping sisters on the inside

Did you know one of the fastest growing populations in Australia's prison system are Aboriginal women?

The causes for the increase are complex and vary between jurisdictions but a New South Wales Senate Select committee on Increase In Prison Population cited a major contributing factor was an increase in remand population.

It's an area of concern for organisations like Sisters Inside.

A message for the ears

Ear infections like otitis media often affect infants and children.  

Untreated or repeated bouts of otitis media has been linked to hearing impairment, learning difficulties and behavioural problems in children.
