Click here The publisher and editors of the Competition Law Journal are pleased to announce that 14th Annual Junior Competition Conference will take place at 14:00 on Thursday, 5 February 2026 at the London offices of Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer LLP. The JCC is organised for junior members of the competition law community, from all professional and academic backgrounds, including students, trainee and qualified solicitors, pupil and qualified barristers, economists, monitoring trustees, policy specialists and competition officials, whether working in private practice, in-house, competition or regulatory authorities, the public sector or academia. It provides a unique forum for junior practitioners to speak at a conference, express views, exchange ideas and get to know one another. The JCC is kindly sponsored by Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer and there is no charge to speak or attend, although places are strictly limited and will be balloted to ensure a wide range of attendees. Submissions We are now inviting proposals from those interested in speaking at the 14th Annual Junior Competition Conference on one of the following two topics:
We have intentionally chosen broad topics to ensure a lively debate and to attract a wide range of junior professionals from across the competition community. In order to be eligible as a speaker, you must be less than eight years qualified (or equivalent in your respective profession) and must not be a partner or hold a similar position. As well as the opportunity to make a 20-minute presentation (and participate in a panel discussion) on one of these themes at the JCC, we also offer our speakers the opportunity to have their presentation published as an article in the Competition Law Journal. If you are interested in speaking, please send a written outline (of no more than 150 words) of what you would like to speak about to natalie.gray@hsfkramer.com by 17:00 on Friday, 21 November 2025. Further details about registering to attend the conference will be available on the Competition Law Journal’s website and LinkedIn page in due course.
