Africa CEO Forum 2015 Review

The 3rd edition of the AFRICA CEO FORUM (www.theafricaceoforum.com), co-organised by rainbow unlimited together with Jeune Afrique and in partnership with the African Development Bank was once again a great success. Over 800 CEOs, business leaders and political figures gathered in Geneva to take part in the event from 16-17 March 2015 where the Prime Minister of the Ivory Coast, Daniel Kablan Duncan was the guest of honour. 1st Swiss Hotel Management School in Africa based in Kenya

rainbow unlimited has facilitated the establishment of the first Swiss Hotel and Tourism Management School in Africa based in Nairobi, Kenya. The Boma International Hospitality College (www.bihc.ac.ke), a partnership between Alpine Center Switzerland (www.swissalpinecenter.com) and Boma Hotels Ltd (www.bomahotels.com) will open its doors on 25 May 2015. For the first time, a renowned Swiss hospitality school is establishing itself fully in Africa, offering Kenyans a top Swiss education locally and at affordable cost. Save the Date - Africa Business Day, 12 June 2015

Africa Business Day 2015, which rainbow unlimited organises together with Switzerland Global Enterprise will take place on 12 June 2015 at Georg Fischer (Paradies Conference Centre) in Schaffhausen. In its third year, the Africa Business Day 2015 promises to provide once again a rich discussion around doing business on the African continent. This year's theme is the rising middle class in Africa including workshops exploring opportunities that are emerging as a result of the growing middle class in different sectors. Update: Swiss-African Business Circle

As the operational manager of the SABC (www.sabc.ch) we would like to highlight two events that took place earlier this year. The year began with the annual New Year's Reception with African Ambassadors based in Switzerland which took place in Bern. Highlights of the event are available HERE.The SABC also had a presence at the AFRICA CEO FORUM with a booth, to find out more click HERE.To find out about upcoming events, visit the SABC website HERE. Of particular note is that SABC, in partnership with UNCTAD, will be organising a reception with high level Government delegations from Congo-Brazzaville and Sudan in April, in the context of their respective Investment Policy Reviews.
