The National Endowment for the Arts is currently presenting a feature on Marfa, Texas in the online version of its quarterly magazine, NEA Art, Volume 2, 2011.

 

Highlighting Judd Foundation, Chinati Foundation, and Ballroom, Marfa, this slideshow presents a snapshot of Marfa today.

From the Vault: Donald Judd Archives

 

Judd Foundation is pleased to announce "From the Vault," a new bi-monthly feature detailing selected items from the Donald Judd Archives.
 

Housed in an old bank vault in Marfa, the Archives are currently closed to the public for ongoing processing and preservation. Judd Foundation is pleased to offer this behind-the-scenes glimpse, reflecting, in part, the diversity and depth of the Donald Judd Archives.

101 Spring Street, New York: Restoration Newsreel

 

Judd Foundation continues with its extensive renovation of Donald Judd's historic residence and studio in SoHo, New York with plans to re-open in Spring 2013.
 

Follow the Foundation's restoration of this important building through the Newsreel, which features monthly highlights of construction and preservation work since the project began in June 2010.

Judd Furniture Exhibition Opens in Munich

 

Donald Judd:  A Good Chair is a Good Chair

 

Over 900 invited guests came out for the opening of the Donald Judd Furniture exhibition at Die Neue Sammlung-The International Design Museum Munich-at the Pinakothek der Moderne.  Welcoming remarks were made in the museum's grand rotunda by Dr. Wolfgang Heubisch, Bavarian State Minister of Sciences, Research and the Arts, Dr. Florian Hufnagl, Director General, Die Neue Sammlung and Corinna Thierolf, Chief Curator, Sammlung Moderne Kunst, Pinakothek Der Moderne.

This exhibition will remain on view until October 9, 2011 and is part of the American Summer at Pinakothek der Moderne.  In Collaboration with the Sammlung Moderne Kunst/Bayerische Staatsgemaldesammlungen, Ikon Gallery, Birmingham and Judd Foundation, Marfa and New York.  Curated with Dr. Corinna Rösner at Die Neue Sammlung.
