Villianess in The LXD Season #3
Episodes "Salvage" & "Reprogram"
I'm proud to share with you my latest appearances in the Hulu dance web series "The LXD". I'm in several episodes this season including episode #5 "Salvage", followed up by my most prominent performance in LXD yet repping the dark side and battling it out with "The Umbras" against Madd Chadd aka Specimen in Episode #6 "Reprogram'!!! Both episodes, directed by Ryan Landels, were shot in a dusty vintage junkyard overnight with an incredible cast and crew that kept the magic going strong until dawn. Everyone worked very hard on set to create these dramatic and intense episodes! Personally, it has been a great growing experience dancing and acting in this ongoing creative project. Looking forward to seeing how it will all unfold in Season 4! Hope you enjoy...

Working with Artist Olafur Eliasson
Experimental Dance Film
Joined some of my favorite dancers on a film by the brilliant Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson. He is best known for his large-scale $15 million public art installation "Waterfalls" in New York harbor, and a gigantic sun at the Tate Modern in London. In this surrealistic film, Olafur documents an ordinary day at his studio in Berlin. Together with Olafur and original dance artist Steen Koerner, we illustrate how people move in spaces, how they encounter, work, and socially intervene. This art work will be shown at Centre Pompidou in Paris during the exhibition "Danser sa vie" (Dance Your Life) from 9/23 until 4/2/2012! West Coast Poppers
Documentary
Yesterday, I welcomed Jerry Sanchez into my home to do a follow up interview with me for his upcoming independent documentary film "West Coast Poppers", a historical street dance culture film. It has been 6 years now since Jerry last interviewed me for this film. A lot has happened within these last 6 years both personally and professionally, and it struck me deeply as my thoughts poured out. It was emotional and humbling. I shared what I've been up to, who my inspirations are, random stories, personal updates, and a whole lot more. I can't wait to see this film and see everyone else he has interviewed, you can tell just by watching the trailer that Jerry Sanchez has put his heart and soul into this project. As a social and cultural force, popping influence can be seen in the early days of L.A. hip hop and the present time in music videos, TV shows and numerous films like Breakin' 1 & 2, You Got Served and Step Up 3D. You can now meet some of the real dancers that inspired this global influence for this funk/hip hop dance known as Popping.
