Revit MEP

We are committed to undertaking our designs utilising Autodesk Revit MEP, to provide a well co-ordinated design model that reduces clashes with building structure, other services and variations during the construction phase of the project.
Secon has been using Revit for 4 years and most of our projects are now being documented in a collaborative manner using this platform.

Salisbury East High School (Performing Arts)
 

Performing Arts Building of retractable tiered seated theatre, practice rooms, classrooms and gallery.
Secon designed the Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Hydraulic, Fire and ESD services including power supply, light with (C-Bus) lighting control system, stage lighting with DMX control, external and site lighting, structured cabling with fibre backbones, school bell PA system, combined fire detection and security system, MATV system, audio visual design, sanitary plumbing, hot and cold water reticulation, package air conditioning system with economy cycle, carbon dioxide monitoring, night purge and building management system, and toilet exhaust system.

Stage 1 resource Centre, Stage 2 Office
Conversion of original heritage-listed former ‘Kidman Residence’ into the school’s administration building.
Secon’s design is sympathetic to the building and conservation report.
Secon provided Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Hydraulic, Fire and ESD services including internal lighting with occupancy control, exit and emergency lighting, power reticulation, structured cabling system, school bell, site-wide security system upgrade, combined security and fire detection with aspirated fire detection, air conditioning and toilet exhaust, sanitary pluming, hot and cold water and an aspirated fire detection system.

Upgrade to existing Morphettville High School to Wallara Birth to Year 7 school.  Site infrastructure of 3200m2 split into new admin, GLAs and child care centre.
Secon provided Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Hydraulic, Fire and ESD Services including internal, external and carpark lighting, DALI lighting control, DALI, exit and emergency lighting, communications reticulation, power reticulation, transformer upgrade, MATV security, fire detection and occupancy warning, air conditioning and toilet exhaust system, sanitary plumbing, hot and cold water, natural gas, fire hydrant system, air conditioning and exhaust system.

The demolition of the existing Carlisle Building and the construction of a new 2 storey building housing a central learning street, access lift and 8 General learning areas, central learning street each floor with an IT suite, Uni-sex toilets, withdrawal room, kitchen and teachers prep on each floor.
Secon provided Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Hydraulic, Fire, Vertical Transportation  and ESD Services including the design of the internal lighting with day light harvesting, external lighting, exit and emergency lighting, power reticulation, structured cabling system, combined fire and security system, MATV, school bell, air conditioning with heat recovery system, toilet exhaust system, kitchen exhaust, sanitary plumbing, hot and cold water, fire extinguishers.

Well done to Mick Heath of Lowe and Redding Design who came up with the winning caption "Modern Architecture - we don't cater for practicability." for our last construction mistake image.  Also, a huge thank you to the two runners up who were Adrian Braddock of HI Lighting and Kym Fuss of Wilde Woollard Adelaide.

For this edition we have an interesting plumbing arrangement and as usual, the prize for the winning caption will be a bottle of wine.
