Click here ![]() Kia ora koutou katoa, Slight delay to ratification of a proposed collective agreement As reported in our last update (29 April) we are only able to ballot members in workplaces where the employer has said, “Yes.” At that time there were still nine employers who had not participated in their ratification process affecting some 260 NZNO members. Since then we have made further one-on-one contact and have reduced this number of employers down to four. There were six employers who had said “No”. After further contact/serious negotiations five have now said “Yes”. A good number of these employers were confirmed yesterday and are being added to the database. The ballot will therefore commence tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday 6 May 2020 As indicated, full details of the employers’ final offer for a proposed collective agreement will again be detailed along with your ballot form. After distribution of the ballot we will be communicating directly with members in those workplaces where their employer has either not participated in their ratification process or the negotiation process from the outset. Ngā mihi Chris Wilson and Mike
