As Germany gets ready to wrap up its Oktoberfest celebration, our brewmaster is yelling "O'zapft is!" as he taps the first keg of Great Basin Oktoberfest Ale. All month long we'll keep the celebration going with Oktoberfest themed food specials including pretzels, red cabbage, bratwurst with sauerkraut, pork tenderloin with maple mustard sauce, and other delicious specials.

The time is yet again upon us. We need your help to brew one of our most coveted brews - Great Basin Harvest Ale. Each year we take regional ingredients from the Great Basin including juniper berries, sage and pinion pine nuts. To brew with raw pine nuts, the shells first need to be removed. That’s where we need you. For each pint of pine nuts you crack, we'll give you a free pint of beer*.
So come down and crack your heart out at our Pine Nut Cracking Party on October 28th and 29th beginning at 11 am and lasting til the nuts run out.
* Must be 21 or older to receive a free pint of beer. Non-alcoholic substitutes available to those under 21.
We like to say that beer is like liquid bread. Guess that makes bread like solid beer. Our Reno brewery has been baking up some delicious creations lately. Each & every artisan loaf is handcrafted using spent grains from our brewing process, local honey and lots of love. Come down and take a fresh loaf home with you (or two).

The 3rd annual Great Basin Brew Relay will take place October 11th, starting at 8 AM. As usual, the race begins at our Sparks location and ends in the same spot with celebratory pints. Teams can pick up their packet in Sparks on October 5th from 2-8 PM. Only 100 teams can participate, so get your registration in before it's too late!

We've been waiting patiently, biding our time. It's almost finished. Our Barrel-Aged Russian Imperial Stout will soon be ready to imbibe in. Roasty, big, and unforgettable. This brew has been aging in Rogue Whiskey barrels since January. Yep, we know how to be patient.
