As the days grow shorter and the leaves turn red on the CHS campus, the school year is in full swing. Our students are busy with academics, athletics, outdoor adventures, and service learning - and our CHS Alum Moms and experienced teachers are diligently supporting these many activities. We are pleased this month to feature a few of these Alum Moms, as well as an accomplished teacher who many of you may recall.

Karen Fryer ’85 was the first in her family to graduate from CHS. She was soon followed by her three sisters, Victoria ‘88, Samantha ‘90 and Vanessa ‘94. Read more »
Aubin Stewart started working at Crofton House in 1978, teaching textiles and foods in a small room next to the Farrell Hall gym. She developed the Home Economics program in an old physics lab, with Bunsen burners built into the food counters and sewing machines stashed in the closets.

Each year Dr. Dawson and the CHS Alumnae Association begin the school year with a gathering of parents with a very unique perspective. This special group of woman are all CHS alumnae and parents of current Crofties and are affectionately referred to as CHS Alum Moms.
