VCOM: Innovation by Experience

[Graphic: Blue line]

In this edition of our monthly newsletter, we'd like to give a preview of the latest VCOM functions.  The following new additions will be available – find out about the tools now:

Creating rules for efficiently prioritizing data logger alarms

The ticket system is a key tool for technical operation management. A clear and tidy overview of alarms and tickets is the aim of every operation manager. With this new tool, we'll show you how you can easily and effectively prioritize data logger alarms:

Rules can be created for every system. Incoming alarms are processed automatically on the basis of the designation and/or description. Priorities can be set and alarms deleted. During the commissioning phase in particular, it makes sense to limit a rule to a specific period of time.

In the rule overview, you'll find details of all rules that have been created for a system. The rules can be sorted. If two rules should conflict with each other, the rule with the higher priority will be used.

The link to the tool can be found in the data logger alarms.

Further developments to ticket statistics

In response to requests from customers, we've added new functions to the ticket statistics portlet. The relative distribution of causes is now shown in a pie chart and in a table. In addition to quick selection options, you can now enter freely defined time periods.
From now on, you can insert graphics and tables into your individually configured VCOM reports.

Sensor group alarm for quicker fault detection

With large solar parks in particular, it's customary to install a number of sensors for the same measured variable (e.g. a number of irradiance sensors). The new sensor group alarm allows you to group these sensors and monitor them. As a result, inconsistencies or faults within a sensor group can be detected quickly and reliably. The intuitive user interface makes it easier to form groups and set the alarm criteria.

The i’catcher series is to be replaced by the new, technically improved and more attractively priced

i’catcher 8-1B: Item number 423.102
i’catcher 16-1B: Item number 423.116

Subject to availability, the i’catcher 8-1B, 16-1B and 24-1B models can be ordered until 31.07.2016. If your desired product is no longer available, we'll contact you to arrange delivery of an appropriate replacement item.
