Hi everyone!

If the US election and the idea of Trump winning is as off-putting to you as it is to me, do something that feels good today: read this article about one of my favourite charities, then give directly or take part in their basic income trials.

(If you're based outside the US you might still be able to make a tax-deductible donation. More info at the bottom of this page.)

Have a great week!

Kai

This Weekʼs Line-Up

A wooden desk organiser
01

The Rest desk organiser series combines some lovely looking natural materials with smart design: you can re-arrange the various modules which 'click' together through hidden magnets. (Looks like they are currently sold out, so get on their email list.)

Instant synonyms, rhymes, and puns
02

Hemingboard is a little helper app for copy writers/editors. It suggests word alternatives, synonyms, and weird rhymes and puns. I tried Hemingboard a few months back when it first launched and, to be honest, the experience was a bit buggy. Happy to give it another go now though, as it looks a lot more solid.

A gorgeous water bottle
03

Soma sure knows how to make great looking, high-quality products. Their new water bottle is a real beauty, and a small donation to charity:water is made with every sale.

The musical time machine
04

Take a stroll down the musical memory lane with Radiooooo: pick a country, select a decade, hit play, and let the nostalgia begin.

Weather-proof backpacks, made in the USA
05

I only recently came across the Chrome brand. All of their backpacks look like solid workhorses, but I'm particularly intrigued by the Barrage Cargo with its 100% welded-waterproof rolltop and the versatile cargo net compression system. You can customise the various parts of the thing too.

Easy screen recording in Chrome
06

Opentest offers a super easy and free solution to do screen captures in Chrome. It records your video, uploads it securely, and then spits out a share link. This could be great tool for teams who collaborate remotely on UX projects.
