a modo million
Since October 1, Modo has spent over $1 million purchasing vehicles. We’ve replaced over 40 existing vehicles and expanded our fleet by almost 30 vehicles. Almost every Modo neighbourhood has experienced some kind of upgrade or benefit.
By the end of this Spring, we will have about 275 vehicles available for carsharing. This is the biggest planned expansion we’ve had in several years and we would like to thank all our members for making it possible. Without your support and your passion for carsharing, we wouldn’t have been able to pull it all off. So – thank you! Read more about our expansion in the media.

modo floaters
At a few Modo locations, we sometimes ‘float’ a vehicle or two. This means that a vehicle is placed at that location temporarily – sometimes a few days, sometimes a few weeks. We don’t announce these as Modo Moves because the information changes so often. Currently we have floating vehicles at Broadway SkyTrain and Main Street SkyTrain. As we go to press the following vehicles are available for booking:
-
Broadway SkyTrain: 2007 silver Dodge Grand Caravan minivan, 2007 grey Toyota Yaris sedan, and 2012 red Scion XD hatchback.
-
Main Street SkyTrain: 2007 silver Nissan Versa sedan, 2011 light green Honda CRV sports wagon, and 2012 orange Toyota Prius C hybrid hatchback.

vacc about to launch...
Vancouver Area Cycling Coalition, our beloved VACC, is about to launch a whole new name and look. They’ve planned a big party for the unveiling: it’s the Year of the Bike Kick-off Party which takes place Saturday April 28, 1 to 4pm at the Woodward’s Atrium at 111 West Hastings.
This is planned as a family-friendly event to celebrate bike culture. Some activities include a bike rodeo, bike decorating, face painting, and a unicycle station. See you at the party!

'engage' now more engaging
Get ready for some really cool changes tomorrow when you log in to our booking website, Engage. We've re-skinned the site so that it matches the rest of our fun Modo branding.
You’ll also notice some new features to make booking vehicles easier. For example, most vehicle descriptions will include a picture of the type of vehicle, and you can view availability or book a car just one click away from the car map. We hope these additional functions make your carsharing experience with us even better!

fill 'er up!
Our members are doing a great job of filling up using the fuel cards provided by Modo. With tanks getting filled to capacity more often, members don’t have to visit the gas station as often. When you purchase gas using a Modo fuel card, please don't take a receipt.
Please remember: it is still each member’s responsibility to return a Modo vehicle with at least 1/4 tank of gas. If for some reason Modo’s fuel card is declined at the pump, you should pay for the gas and then submit your receipt to us for reimbursement. Don’t forget to write your member number on the receipt.
