We are pleased to announce Karen Walz, PT, MA received the 2011 Distinguised Service Award from the Oregon Physical Therapy Association (OPTA). This annual award is given to a deserving Physical Therapist who has made a distinguished contribution of time, energy or expertise toward furthering the goals of the Oregon Physical Therapy Association and for the benefit of its members. Karen was nominated for this award by several of her peers, and an OPTA committee selected her based on the work she’s done for OPTA throughout her career.
Karen is an active member of OPTA as well as a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). She is also the past President for the OPTA and is active with education of state and federal legislators on healthcare topics.
