The Language of Weaving

Weaving and textile expert works with PA art students to examine Peabody collections.
Irene Gates recently joined the Robert S. Peabody Museum as Temporary Archivist. This position is supported by a generous grant from the Oak River Foundation of Peoria, Ill. to support work pertaining to the intellectual and physical control of the museum’s collections.
The Peabody Advisory Committee has selected archaeologist David Thulman as recipient of the Linda S. Cordell Memorial Research Award for 2016. This award supports research at the Robert S. Peabody Museum of Archaeology using the collections of the museum.
The Peabody's advisory committee welcomes five new members, including distinguished alumni, an archaeologist, and student representatives. The Peabody Advisory Committee provides direction and advice regarding museum programs and policies.
