No images? Click here How should the State invest in Chinatown? What projects will make the future of Chinatown bright? JOIN US Thursday, July 14th from 6 to 8 pm at the Manny Cantor Center Rooftop (197 East Broadway) for the third and last Chinatown DRI Public Event! Earlier this year, Chinatown was awarded $20 million from New York State for transformative capital projects. The Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) is a cornerstone of the State’s economic development program that transforms downtown neighborhoods into vibrant centers that offer a high quality of life and are magnets for redevelopment, business, job creation, and economic and housing diversity. As a part of the process to involve the local communities within Chinatown in planning efforts, the Chinatown DRI Local Planning Committee (LPC) invites you to participate in the third and last public event. Your input will inform the investment goals of the project and help in the eventual selection of investment projects. The purpose of this public event is to share eligible projects with the community and understand community concerns, needs, and information gaps related to submitted projects. This will help the LPC prioritize investment strategies and inform their decisions on which projects to recommend to the State for funding. In-Person Event When: Thursday, July 14th, 6 pm to 8 pm Where: Manny Cantor Center (Rooftop), 197 East Broadway, New York, NY 10002 Face masks are required at all public events. For more information, please visit https://www.chinatowndri.com/. Meetings of the Chinatown DRI Local Planning Committee are also open to the public and include an opportunity for public comment.
