Jacob Jensen Design sets to establish a design studio in Southeast Asia
Earlier this year, Timothy Jacob Jensen revealed plans to establish a regional design and brand studio in Southeast Asia. “Our purpose is not to exploit cheap labour. We want to bring in young Thai designers so that they can learn and help raise the living standard of region,” says Group CEO and Chief Designer Timothy Jacob Jensen.
The studio will work with clients from Thailand and neighboring Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia producing design works such as products, architecture and graphics.

Timothy Jacob Jensen meets Apples Senior VP of Industrial Design, Sir Jonathan Ive
Through the relationship between Timothy Jacob Jensen’s mentor, professor Brian Cunningham, and current CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, Timothy Jacob Jensen was invited by Sir Jonathan Ive to visit Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, California.
“It was a great pleasure and honour to visit the legendary company which against many others has achieved results that only others can dream of. It was fun to meet Jony and chat with him about design and life. I found him a very pleasant and down to earth man,” says Timothy Jacob Jensen.

Launch of Visual Identity for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denmark
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denmark – better know as the Church of Denmark, or Folkekirken in Danish – is the state church of Denmark. Almost 80 per cent of the population are members of the church, safely making it the largest religious community in the kingdom.
Over the weekend, the church unveiled a new visual identity created by Jacob Jensen Design. This is the church ́s first attempt in 500 years to introduce a common identity, and hopefully it will be widely adopted by the over 2000 parishes.

Jacob Jensen Design wishes Creative Director Nigel Hopwood a warm farewell.
After 23 years, the studio’s head creative director, Lord Nigel Hopwood has decided to change his life scenery and move onto new adventures.
Nigel has been responsible for some of the studio’s international award winning products and services for clients such as Bang & Olufsen, ECCO, Gaggenau, JACOB JENSEN, the Social Democratic Party of Denmark and Volvo to name a few.
Nigel will continue to participate in the studio’s key workshops, events and freelance from time to time.
