BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Summer Meeting Schedule
The Board of Directors set the following meeting dates for the summer months of 2023:
~ June 21st at 3:00 PM
~ July 26th at 3:00 PM
~ August 16th at 3:00 PM
All meetings will take place at the office of United Community Management, 300 Avenue of the Champions.
ROADWAYS
The repaving of General Drive is tentatively scheduled to begin during the third week of June 2023. The repaving work will cover the area from the back gate to the entrance of Grand Cay. Homeowners will be updated on dates and temporary road closure as soon as confirmed with the contractor.
Once the repaving work is completed, we plan to replace the pavers around the Reclinata circle before the end of the year.
BACK GATE IMPROVEMENTS
The team working on enhancing the back gate area continues to have issues regarding irrigation. They have determined that adding a water supply from Monterey Pointe is not feasible, so they are now looking to both Diamond Head and Windermere as viable options. Once that issue is resolved, further improvement plans will be addressed.
LANDSCAPE
Thank You! to our landscape team of Dianne Silich, Paul Slepakoff, Constance Canterbury, and of course the Revival Landscaping staff. All is looking terrific as we head into the summer months.
LIGHTING
The team is continuing to make progress on the problematic landscape and roadway lighting issues. While we do not see an imminent solution, Terri Leonard and David Ahr continue to work with an identified local electrical contractor and anticipate significant improvements in the coming months.
PRIVACY
Other than the fact that the front resident lane gate was down over the Memorial Day weekend (now fixed), all other privacy issues are in good order at this time. One ongoing concern throughout PGA National and much of the North County is the theft of vehicles, as highlighted in the following article.
LOCK YOUR CAR!
Homeowners should remember to always lock their cars and remove their keys and key fobs from the car.
It has been observed that many vehicle thefts throughout Palm Beach County have happened due to unlocked cars with keys or key fobs left inside. By taking those few extra seconds to secure their vehicle and remove their keys or key fobs, homeowners can help prevent theft and keep their property safe. And remember, if they get into your car, they probably have access to your garage door opener... and with that, access to your house. (Do you lock the passage door between the garage and the house?)
PGA NATIONAL ROAD WORK
The Northern Palm Beach County Improvement District (NPBCID) is adding three new pedestrian crossings on Ryder Cup Boulevard for our safety. You'll find them at the south end of the road near the Preston community, midway along the road by the Dunbar Woods community, and to the north by the Townhomes of Marlwood. Please be sure to slow down and use caution while driving in these areas as workers
are present. Thanks for helping us make the community a safer place!
The District (NPBCID) also plans to commence repaving of Avenue of The Masters in early June 2023. It is requested that you consider utilizing alternate routes during the paving process. We also ask for your patience in the event of any delays and urge you to comply with traffic signs and personnel who will be directing traffic.
In addition, a new pedestrian crosswalk featuring flashing lights will be installed at the intersection of Avenue of the Masters and Old Meadow Way. It is imperative that pedestrians activate the warning signals by pressing the crossing button before proceeding to cross the road.
Please remember to always remain vigilant and yield to pedestrians.
HOME RENTALS
If you're considering renting out your home directly or through VRBO, Airbnb, or a similar service, it's important to note that the PGA POA must review all lease agreements. This is a necessary step to ensure that the rental follows all community guidelines and regulations. Failure to do so may result in fines or other penalties. Thank you for your dedication to keeping our community safe and harmonious.
